Training Service

Training with RIS

The Refugee Information Service has developed an expertise and reputation as a specialised training provider on issues related to immigration, protection and integration.

In recent years, the RIS has been a regular trainer on immigration issues with the Citizen Information Board as well as other statutory and non-statutary orgaisations, service providers and community groups who are regularly in contact with migrants.

As part of a new strategy, the RIS will pursue a nationwide training function with an expert training panel.

RIS contributes its training to the following accredited courses:

  • FETAC accredited Information Providers Programme
  • DIT accredited Advocacy Practice for Information Providers (Level 7) Advocacy & Immigration
  • Certificate on the Social Inclusion of Asylum Seekers, Refugees and Migrants

In addition to above, RIS has regularly designed and delivered several interest-tailored courses on various subjects requested by organisations in the statutory as well as community and voluntary sectors.

Fee Structure

Training for the voluntary and community sector:

Full day - €750             Half day - €375

 

Training for statutory bodies and agencies:

Full day - €900             Half day - €500

Where there are exceptional costs, these will also be sought by the RIS, over and above the costs outlined.
