Internships

The RIS offers internships in all areas of our organisation, these include Information and Advocacy, Communications and Public Relations, Fundraising and Events Management, Administration and Research.

Each area of internships has its benefits and provides valuable experience. The size and nature of our company makes interns an integral part of our working environment. The tasks given to our interns allow for upskilling as they handle various functions and in different operational units within the organization. 

We are currently looking for the following interns:

Communications Intern
Duties and responsibilities include:
• Collating relevant materials and information for media analysis
• Monitoring the press on a daily basis and maintaining records and archives
• Drafting press releases and liaising with media
• Assisting in implementing/monitoring the Integration Centre Communications Strategy & Public Relations Plan
• Coordinating events e.g. launches, conferences and exhibitions, etc
• Assisting in promoting core areas of work for the The Integration Centre
• Inputting materials and editing content of the The Integration Centre website
• Drafting and disseminating monthly e-bulletin
• Editing publications and input into design and printing
• Other duties as required.

Skills and experience required
• Background in Communications, PR or Journalism
• Communications and interpersonal skills
• Computer skills
• Skilled in the use of media research and new media
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Interest in immigration and integration

Fundraising Intern

Skills and experience required:
• Knowledge of the Charitable sector
• Understanding of fundraising principles
• Ability to craft proposals
• Capable of seeking out and engaging new contacts
• Communications and interpersonal skills
